3,5 hours shooting by my favourite photographer Angelo Cera this weekend was such a refreshment. The Brussels loft masterpiece of the architect Nicolas de Liedekerke ensured the so-needed functionality and aesthetics and made this day memorable.

Nicolas as a person is synonymous with style; his work is absolutely sublime. There is no corner in the flat where I didn’t stand in awe. Each room is a world for itself. Usually if the flat is simplistic and modern it is dry and soulless, or if it is inspired by tradition it is too warm and backward. Here, the combination of the old and new, though totally unexpected in many cases, is just tremendous.

Angelo Cera, usually engaged with IT staff (that provides him with substantial financial resources) was really inspired, once given a chance to prove himself in his creative hobby- photography. I have to admit “I was not so absolutely convinced” about Angelo’s professionalism, as my friend Roland Rolker would say, but after this photo session, I wonder why photography is only his hobby!?

To get back to Roland, I cannot but notice that his sophisticated judgment coupled with sustainable positive energy and encouragement taught me that I must not give up following my dreams, modelling being a part of them too. I believe the same is true for Roland’s love for history, which is ripe, and will bear some new fruit in due time…

Last, but not the least, professor Philippe Michailovich’s intuition about Nicholas, as about many other things, was confirmed. I hope he’s enjoying his travelling world-wide as a visiting branding professor teaching more students about what real luxury is. I also can’t wait to read his new book on luxury branding!
